WORLD`S #4 MOST EXPENSIVE CAR

Koenigsegg CCX is in the fourth position. This model of the car is the latest supercar from Koenigsegg. CCX implies Competition Coupe X. The "X" in the name of this supercar denotes the 10th anniversary of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996.

You will find that the car is more suitable for the US market and so it is engineered for complying with the US regulations. This automobile is designed and manufactured in Ängelholm, Sweden, and it was presented before the world at the 2004 Geneva Auto Show. The car had held the world speed record for a production car briefly in the past.


Koenigsegg CCX Features

Koenigsegg CCX is a two-door targa top and for your convenience the removable roof can be stored under the front trunk. This car like all the Koenigseggs also has "dihedral synchro-helix" actuation doors, which keep rotating forwards and upwards like the scissor doors. The CCX model of Koenigsegg design keeps off the open door problem that hinders the entry or exit of the passenger.

The CCX model is 1.61 inch taller than the CCR model. The smart car reveals carbon fiber reinforced plastic sports seats by Sparco and it also allows 1.97 inch additional headroom that is very convenient. The CCX is better than the previous model CCR model of Koenigsegg in the sense that the car comes without physical fuses and is also lighter than the previous system.

The engine of the CCX being based on the Ford Modular engine architecture is a 4.7 liter V8 that comes with 4 valves per cylinder and dual overhead camshafts. The block of the engine is made of 356 Aluminum, which has undergone the T7 heat treatment; the heat treatment is a kind of accelerated precipitation strengthening. The engine of the car is boosted by two centrifugal superchargers, which are responsible for increasing the compression to 17.5 psi with a compression ratio of 8.2:1.

The car is powered by all aluminum, 4700 cm³ DOHC 32-valve V8 based on the Ford Modular engine architecture, which is further improved with twin Rotrex centrifugal superchargers that come accompanied with response system, an 8.2:1 compression ratio and a 1.2 bar boost pressure.
